The U.S. Men's Soccer team has defeated Honduras in
the North, Central America and Caribbean (CONCACAF) Gold Cup Tournament
Semi Finals. Mexico defeated Costa Rica in the second match of the
night Thursday and will face the United States in the finals on Sunday
in New York.

| Clarence Goodson celebrates the team's 2-0 win over Honduras in Chicago, 23 Jul 2009 |
It
was the second time the United States and Honduras met on the field in
the CONCACAF Gold Cup Tournament. But the match would be the end to
Honduran hopes for a Gold Cup finals appearance, thanks in part to a
goal late in the first half of play by Clarence Goodson.
The San Jose Earthquakes ended their debut season on
a high note Saturday night, as they defeated Toronto FC, 2-0, at Buck
Shaw Stadium. The Quakes received goals from Ryan Cochrane and Shea
Salinas
The San Jose Earthquakes finished their return season in Major League
Soccer with a flourish Saturday night, defeating Toronto FC 2-0,
courtesy of second-half goals by Ryan Cochrane and Shea Salinas.
The home side dominated the match for long stretches, only to be
repeatedly denied by TFC 'keeper Greg Sutton. But San Jose finally
found a way through four minutes into the second half, when Cochrane
headed home Ronnie O'Brien's corner kick. Salinas then put the game
away with a stoppage-time penalty kick.
At least San Jose did not finish in Last place in MLS West Division. That Honor goes to the LA Galaxy!!

SJ Quakes Are No Longer at Bottom in The West After the Win Against Kansas City 2-1
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Two months ago, the San Jose Earthquakes were
dead and buried. Saturday night against the Kansas City Wizards, they
continued their resurrection, as Darren Huckerby's header with seven
minutes remaining allowed the Quakes to claim a 2-1 victory and
continue their push for a playoff spot.
Brazil captured the bronze medal in the men's soccer tournament at the Beijing Games with a 3-0 win over Belgium.
Forward Jo scored two goals in the win, while midfielder Diego opened the match's scoring for Brazil, which will wait another four years for its first Olympic gold medal in men's soccer.
Goalkeeper Hope Solo helped extend the match past regulation and the United States women's soccer team took advantage.
Carli Lloyd scored in the sixth minute of extra time as the U.S. won its second straight gold medal with a 1-0 victory over Brazil on Thursday.
Since the Olympics started carrying women's soccer in 1996, Team USA has now claimed three gold and one silver medal, while Brazil won its second silver.
I was going though the channels today I found the Women’s Soccer – USA vs. Norway. (They lost 2-0) on universal hd. But ATT programing guide did any information about the game. Also NBC's own Olympics site did not have any useful information about their Soccer Coverage TV Schedule. But I did googled "Soccer Coverage TV Schedule" and came across this site with the complete TV Schedule lineup for the games.

It was the eighth game
of the season, but Thursday's showdown with the Houston Dynamo felt
like the true rebirth of the San Jose Earthquakes.
The Quakes beat the team they replaced, a 2-1 victory over the
defending Major League Soccer champions that was their first at home
and their most complete game of the season
De Rosario, who scored the winning goal in the 2001 MLS Cup final for the San Jose Earthquakes, did it again Sunday, netting the winner for a 2-1 Houston Dynamo victory before an announced crowd of 39,859 in RFK Stadium. And the Houston Dynamo, as they've been known since moving from San Jose, have won two straight MLS titles since moving to Texas.
Club looks to repeat as champs in just second year of existence
Nate Jaqua and Dwayne De Rosario scored goals and the Houston Dynamo advanced to its second consecutive MLS Cup final with a 2-0 win over Kansas City in the Major League Soccer Western Conference final on Saturday night.
The Dynamo will face the New England Revolution next Sunday. Houston defeated the Revolution in last year's title match. New England reached its third consecutive MLS Cup final with a 1-0 win over Chicago on Thursday.
Houston dominated at both ends, outshooting Kansas City 11-3. Dynamo goalkeeper Pat Onstad didn't have to make a save.
