The video labs at AT&T's Atlanta HQ are not located on the higher floors of its 47-story Midtown Center where, between demos, you can casually scrape a view of the city through giant windows. You know, where you might expect to see the future of TV. Instead, they're buried down on the second floor in a building a few doors down, in a plain gray room, whose only exceptional attribute is a wall of TVs—eight total including two 60-inchers—which are hooked up to experimental U-verse IPTV DVR boxes. In this room, sitting on the single blue-green couch, you can stare up and see the future—TV-to-phone video calling, iPhones as remote controls, on-screen visual voicemail, MST3K-style chat while viewing and more—TV as you will hopefully know it in the next couple of years.
Of course there no news from ATT when they will be adding third or forth HD Streams, or Faster Internet access.
On the other hand, with the ddition of Four National HD and two Local HD Channels and
2HD/2SD. Yes ATT has a history of beening late of rolling out new
features and adding new channels. But compared to the Bi-annual Prices
hike from Comcast. I figure in the long Run ATT will be the Better
option for the Price and features I am looking for.

I just this Morning for Least for the SF/SJ Bay Area ATT has added KICU
HD Ind ch 1006 and KBWB HD Ind Ch 1020. Plus KRCB PBS Ch 22.
It seem odd that ATT can added
new HD on the local Level, But not nationally.
A number of cities will be seeing the service activated in waves (or so it seems), and while some folks should be noticing the change at any moment, others could be waiting for a good while still. We won't keep you wondering any longer -- head on past the break for the entire list.

Now is there any news or leaks about next round of HD Channels coming
to ATT UV. I have seen rumors circulating around the net stating ATT
will have a total of around 80 HD channels in their national Channel
Line up, coming later this summer for UV. But I won't believe until I
see it.
I was going through the various UV Channels today (For those times I am Really Bored). And I notice that on their Retail Barker Channel 9000, at part of the promo highlighting UV HD Programming now includes
Now if or when ATT will be added these HD channels is Anyone guess??? 2009 2012?????
The resiliency of cable in the Internet age is all the more remarkable
considering that prices have risen 77 percent since 1996.
(From The New York Times)
Cable prices have risen 77 percent since 1996, roughly double the rate of inflation, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported this month.
Cable customers, who typically pay at least $60 a month, watch only a fraction of what they pay for--on average, a mere 13 percent of the 118 channels available to them. And the number of subscribers keeps growing.
The resiliency of cable is all the more remarkable because the
Internet was supposed to change all things digital. Technology has led
to more choices and lower prices for news and music as well as cell
phone and landline minutes--not to mention computers, cameras, music
players, and phones themselves.
And ATT raise their prices of U-Verse as well.
For anyone signing up for U-Verse now. You will be paying $20 dollars more a mouth since they have discontinued their $10 bundle discount and the free 2 stbs early adopter offer. So What next price hikes for U-Verse, No more free DVR and Free Installation. And Will ATT tack on addition fees for WHDVR, Muli HD Streams, Media Room And those stb Apps like flickr, yahoo games, peg channels.

In other News. Still No signs of Sci-Fi HD, USAHD, Weather Channel HD or CSN BA HD from ATT U-Verse
I have Recently notice there some new Free VOD Selections . Nothing really to get excited about
Music > Flow, Sports > Beijing Olympics, Octane, Cutting Edge > Ripe
Also in the PPV Vod there Same Day DVD and Havoc TV.
This is from the U-talk boards from member U-tech:
There is no action necessary on the part of the customers, once the account is migrated to 2HD/2SD the receivers will be re-boot automatically. If an existing customer adds HD after a VHO has migrated they will need to reset their receivers as the automated process is not supported.
Living in Silicon Valley it only natural, that SF/SJ Bay Area might be next in line to get 2 HD Streams. But still, at this time ATT has not rolled out their U-Verse Voice in our area.
I Just off the phone with ATT and Upgraded tonight to their U-Verse Max Tier Internet. No, Its not as fast as Comcast Blast tier 16/2. But I am Currently, saving over $40 a mouth over Comcast. Now if only ATT could get off their duff and add USA HD, Sci-Fi HD, TWC HD,
AMC HD, FSC HD, Smithsonian HD and CSN BA HD to their Nation HD Channel Line up.

Also Tonight, Since the cancellation of The Lab with Leo Laporte from How-to Channel and G4Tech TV, I have felt that, it was no longer necessary for me to have an Webhost to post these Episodes from the show and other Nostalgia ZDTV/Tech TV Media from the Good Old Days.
Now that I Parted ways with midPhase. I have moved my Full time blog here to Vox. And moved my Family Photos to Photoshop Express and My Public Photo to Flickr.
It is true. I got the confirmation from our alerts this morning. Only the DVR (or 1 standard STB) will be free starting 4/20/08. All other STBs will have a $5 fee. This will only happen if you order is placed after 4/20/08, anything before that will still get 3 STBs free. *hint hint* *wink wink* lol
I have just check out ATT U-Verse Website and they are only Offering 1 Free HD DVR and no more Free Turners. In the Pass I was recommending ATT U-Verse to all my Family and friends who 'for now' sticking with SDTV. But now I am going to tell them to either Stick with comcast or switch to Dish or Directv.
Even their Retail Baker Channel 9000 (Now why I don't know I getting
this channel. Since I Currently do not live in a ATT Retail Store or Do
not sell U-Verse from My Apt. and It repeats the same Message every
minutes 24/7) The New video now reflects the new 1 Free HD DVR no more
Free Turners Offers.
